It's not really "unexpected" though. Plenty of electronic artists of that era were using trackers. Sandstorm was made on a tracker.
個人的には、素早く柔軟に曲作りするのに、他のDAWより今でもRenoiseが好きだ。マウスが必要ないからっていうのもある。トラッカーの使い方が分かってれば、他のタイプのDAWでこれ以上に速く作業できるものはないよ。マウス操作のピアノロールは全然かなわない。
Still prefer Renoise over any other DAW for fast easily flexible composition, in part because a mouse is not needed. If you understand how to use a tracker, no other type of DAW will ever be as fast to use. Mouse-based piano roll blows across the board.
